None of the developers have that type of WAN connection, so I wanted to double check with those in the community who actually use it (or used it, apparently).

It has been removed from 1.3. Thanks to those who have confirmed it's no longer in use!

Hello,

I'm still using a pfsense fw attached to a Bigpond Cable Modem...The build i have is "1.2-RC3 built on Wed Nov 7 19:10:57 EST 2007"....The build still has Bigpond options, yet the blog trail above suggests it would be removed late 2006....? Did it actually get removed...? and what will i do in the future if i choose to keep the cable...?

Hi, yes the old heartbeat logon system was phased out when Telstra migrated there billing back end, this didn't happen to my modem until around February of this year. The old system still works however afaik.

If your worried just manually stop the daemon and see if can still browse the net :D
