2.1 Tutorial at EuroBSDCon 2012
Ermal and I will be doing a full day pfSense 2.1 tutorial at EuroBSDCon 2012, October 18 in Warsaw, Poland. Registration has just opened. This will be a training-focused session, going through many of the features common to every version, covering changes in 2.1, with focus on IPv6 in each portion of the system.

Does this mean you plan to have 2.1 released by that time?

Chris,
Congratulations on your invitation. I’m sure you and Ermal will surprise the audience of the lecture / workshop. The invitation EuroBSDcon 2012 only confirms what we all already know: The pfSense is a open-source solution to most popular and complete firewall and router (walking possos wide to the status of UTM).
If possible, post here any photos of the event and presentation slides.
Success!

We’d hoped 2.1 would be out by then, but that’s not going to happen. Won’t be too long after, though.

Chris,
That is awesome news. Furthermore I’m looking forward toward version 2.1.
Will this training be recorded, placed on Youtube (or other) for later replay. All demo’s and manuals/tutorials are welcome in the context of learning purposes (forum).
Unfortunately I can’t be there.
I wish you all the luck and joy,
Canefield

Since this is an open-sourced product I was wondering will you provide the training material for a charge? I’d like to get my hands on the training session.

I think it would be a wonderful idea to have the chance to watch the training.
Unfortunately, we are not able to go to that training. I think that pfsense v2.1 offers tons of new features, specially IPv6 support.
Thank you in advance and for such a great and powerful product,
Best Regards,
Alberto

I like it that cool products need no presentations… I see your tutorial is the only one without a list of the topics covered.
Cheers and I add to the great thanks for this superb project,

There was no recording of the session. We’ll be doing another in the next 3 months or so, and offering it online (for purchase, not free). Details to come here, and/or subscribe to our announcements mailing list for details when they’re available.
