Ermal and I will be doing a full day pfSense 2.1 tutorial at EuroBSDCon 2012, October 18 in Warsaw, Poland. Registration has just opened. pfSense 2.0 training at EuroBSDCon 2011

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

Ermal Luci and I will be presenting a full day training tutorial at EuroBSDCon 2011, in Maarssen, The Netherlands on October 6, 2011.

This tutorial will be a training-focused session, covering many of the changes in the 2.0 release, both from the perspective of a new user and providing information on changes for existing users of the project. Common usage scenarios, deployment considerations, step by step configuration guidance, and best practices will be covered for many features. Many configurations will be demonstrated in a live lab environment. We will also cover the new functionality in pfSense 2.1, which is already being used in production for its IPv6 capabilities.

Registration is now open. We look forward to meeting many of you there!

Most features of the base system will be covered in good technical detail. It will not be simply an overview of features, we’ll do live demos to configure various scenarios, and get into configuration detail for many items.

Future US Date

We’re also in the planning stages for hosting a training session in the US later this year. It will probably be in Louisville, KY and last one or two full days. Sign up to our announcements list to be notified when it’s scheduled.

pfSense 2.0 tutorial at EuroBSDCon 2010

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

EuroBSDCon 2010 will be held October 8-10, 2010 in Karlsruhe, Germany. I will be in attendance presenting a training-focused tutorial on pfSense 2.0. I’m also looking forward to numerous other great looking presentations.

The BSD conferences offer a great opportunity to learn and network with numerous people working on the BSD operating systems and derived projects, and are always a lot of fun too. I’m looking forward to another great conference, and hope to see many of you there.

Early registration is open through the end of this month.

pfSense at EuroBSDCon 2009

Monday, July 13th, 2009

I will be presenting on pfSense at EuroBSDCon 2009, September 18-20 at University of Cambridge, England. A summary schedule, subject to change, is available and registration is open.

This will be my first EuroBSDCon, though I’m sure it’s as well done, informative, and fun as BSDCan and DCBSDCon, of which I’ve attended 6 combined.

My presentation will be an updated version of the presentation given at BSDCan, covering all the new functionality in 2.0, and our plans for beyond that.

I look forward to meeting some of you there!

small Update:

Holger and Seth will be there too.
